Paige Penrod - Logan Elm Volleyball All-American

From Circleville Herald newspaper:
"Paige Penrod proved she was one of the best volleyball players in the state this past season.

Now the Logan Elm senior is officially among the best players in the nation.
Penrod was recently selected to the honorable mention list of the Under Armour All-American team as selected by the American volleyball coaches association. “I was really excited about the honor, and to be truthful I didn’t know it existed,” Penrod said.“To be able to accomplish something like that for Logan Elm and our team is nice.”
Penrod was a big force behind the Braves’ 27-1 season and trip to the Division II Final Four, generating 600 kills, 120 aces and 42 blocks over the season to earn a first-team all-Ohio selection.
Penrod ends her high school run holding career school records for kills (1578) and aces (303) to go with similar individual game marks for the Braves.
The Logan Elm senior has also signed a letter of intent to play at Bowling Green."
We had soooo much fun with Paige's session. Thank you for choosing A Moment In Time Studio.

Tom, Donna, Tippy & Curly

Tom and Donna have had pix done of the kids and grandbabies for years but now it is their turn. We had sooo much fun with them. They are hysterical! Tippy and Curly (the puppies) had no idea what was going on but did beautifully!

Trey was a great model. Communications is his career choice and he certainly has the look.

Mickey brought his little cuties in for a session for his Christmas cards and I have been dying to post some. But.... I had to wait until he mailed them so I wouldn't spoil his surprise. Now that his cards are delivered, I get to share Santa's adorable little helpers with you!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! We want you to know how thankful we are for all our clients! We are aware that you could go anywhere to have portraits created and the fact that you place your trust in us for portraits of the people you love most in the world is an amazing compliment to us.
Our love and gratitude goes out to all our military and service personel whose service allows us to celebrate Thanksgiving in a land that is protected and free. Our prayer today is for God's hand of protection to be on you and His arms to be wrapped tightly around your families that are not able to celebrate with you.

Mickey receives Second Place in Portrait Competition

Mickey was the recipient of the Second Place Award in the Portrait Competition at the Professional Photographers of Ohio Fall Convention being held Sunday and Monday at the Hilton Easton. Photographers from all over the state of Ohio compete in seven categories. A panel of internationally qualified judges from PPA do the print judging. The portrait category has the most entries so receive second place is very impressive.

Mickey's entry was a portrait titled, "Rescued", created during a session with Dion and Brady Grener. Great models!

Tree Festival & Holiday Gala

We had a ball at the Tree Festival & Holiday Gala at Pinnacle on Friday night. The event helps raise money to benefit the efforts of the Grove City Community Club. I am not sure how many trees and wreaths were auctioned, but there were some amazing trees and wreaths there. Wish we could have bought them all!
As a sponsor, we decorate a tree and donate it to be auctioned off. Our tree this year was a pet themed tree, titled "Not a Puppy Was Stirring". It was decorated with lights, ornaments, ribbon, items needed for puppy care and small framed puppy pictures we have taken for clients. It also included a Pet Session and an 8X10 Signature Portrait.
Dinner was excellent, the company was wonderful and the entertainment was great, really got us in the Christmas spirit. And the group at our table was the most fun of all! Hope you can come next year.

Love doing those pet pictures. Now, if I could just get her to bring in Maja, their beautiful German Shepard.

The perfect fall day.

What a beautiful autumn day! I had an awesome excuse to get out of the building for a while and go on an adventure. Buckeye Community Calendars is creating a calendar for Grove City that features pictures of the Grove City area. I was really excited that they called me to provide the images. Since I wanted to include some fall pictures (and take off for a while on a gorgeous day), I took the camera over to Gantz Park. It was a chance for me to do some shooting for myself. The leaves are incredible and the sun was perfect, it made the leaves glow. Wanna see?

New Look!

OK If you are reading this, you have seen the new entry page to the website. I always get so excited about changes to the website. I drive everyone else crazy because it takes me forever to choose the images to use for the site entry. I have a terrrible time picking., we have so many great images. Some don't work because they are the wrong format (horizontal), some are the wrong color (I want everything to coordinate) and some belong in the specialty catagories (black & white, white on white or special FX).
See, you thought this was just a random, pick out an image and go on kind of thing.
Soooooo - what I am saying is, you just gotta look through the galleries and see all the different images. Have fun!

I can't believe it's time to begin working on and scheduling our Christmas Special. We are very fortunate that Jenny came in and brought Maddi, Emily and Jordan to be models for us so we can show off our backgrounds. One background looks like a woods in winter. The girls' outfits worked beautifully. Anything will work with this background. Coats, sweaters, boots and jackets for an outdoor look are also good.

The more modern background with its red Christmas bulbs will, of course, work with red, black, silver, white, gold, navy or any other colors you feel will coordinate.

Both backgrounds can be adjusted to accomodate an infant or up to a family group up to 6 or 7.

Beth will soon be posting discount package prices but call now to schedule because our regular special clients have already begun calling.
